Pokemon Crystal is the popular GameBoy Colour, based in the world of Johto, and is the follow up to the Pokemon Gold and Silver games. Pokemon Crystal contains a lot of new features, such as an updated Pokedex, new and improved battle animations, and the ultra-rare Pokemon Suicune. This is by far one of the best looking games ever made on the GameBoy Colour.
There are very few Pokemon Crystal cheats of the traditional sort. By these kind of cheats, I mean button input cheats, such as ' Enter Up, Down, Left, Right, B, A, Start ' style cheats. Instead, there are a few glitches and tricks that you can do to get ahead.
First of all, if you want to pass through a grassy area in the game without getting into any random encounters, teach one of your Pokemon the HM move Cut.This move is used to cut down trees that can lead to new areas, but can also be used to cut down grass. Cutting down all the grass as you pass through will mean you won't get into any random battles. However, note that when you leave the area, all of the grass will re-grow, and you'll have to cut it down again.
Secondly, to receive double the amount of money that you earn, give all of your Pokemon the Amulet Coin item to hold during battle. This doubles the amount of money that you earn, meaning you can bring in a lot of cash quickly.
Other Crystal Pokemon cheats include being able to fight the gym leader Misty without having to go past all of her cronies. To do this, you must have a Pokemon in your team with the HM move Surf learnt. Next, enter Misty's gym, and go all the wayas far as you can to the right. Get your Pokemon to surf all the way around, right round to the back, where Misty is.
